More than 50 percent of over 1,000 part-time employees who participated in the Part-time Employment survey are paid 1,000-5,000MNT per hour in Mongolia. As for participating employers counting over 100, the majority tend to train and hire their part-time employees full-time, hence highlighting the need for training and apprenticeship activities, especially for youth who work while studying.

The survey was conducted with assistance from UNDP’s “SDG Aligned budgeting to transform employment in Mongolia” project funded by the European Union in cooperation with the Ulaanbaatar Employers’ Association.
