The European Union funded “SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia” project aimed at promoting employment through result-based policy and budget, held its semi-annual Steering Committee meeting to present key achievements and progress of 2024 and discuss and approve the revised 2024 action plan.
The project is implemented by UNDP in cooperation with FAO and ILO, and has significantly contributed to modernizing public finance management, promoting efficient, accountable, and responsive public services in the employment sector, and aligning legal and regulatory frameworks of Mongolia with international labour standards.
The Steering committee meeting was co-chaired by Alimaa Baasansuren, Acting State Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, H.E. Daniel Hachez, Minister Counsellor, Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, and Ms.Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Mongolia.
