The "SDG Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the ILO, which aims to align international labour standards with OSH practices and regulations, takes part in the second National Forum on Occupational Safety and Health on May 18, 2023.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Center, in collaboration with the tripartite national committee on OSH, organized the second National Forum on Occupational Safety and Health. The event took place at the government palace in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on 18 May 2023.
During the forum, Dr. Yuka Ujita, Senior OSH Specialist from the ILO DWT/CO-BKK, delivered a presentation titled "Recent Developments and New Tools on OSH."
The forum was inaugurated by Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan, Member of Parliament and Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, and Bulgantuya Khurelbaatar, Minister of Labour and Social Protection. It brought together over 800 attendees, including members of the National Committee of Occupational Safety and Health, representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, international organizations, academia, civil society, as well as delegates from 21 provinces of Mongolia.
The forum served as a platform to address crucial issues related to occupational safety and health in the country. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and insights, discuss best practices, and foster collaborations to improve OSH standards and policies in Mongolia.
